PusztaFarm – Boutique Countryside Retreat

An Old Farm, A New Story

Sometimes life takes a direction we could never have imagined — not even in our boldest dreams.
That is how our story began.
Fifteen years ago, we became the owners of an old homestead in the heart of the Kiskunság National Park. When we first saw this nearly 300-year-old farmhouse, there was nothing here but crumbling walls and untamed wilderness.
And yet, the place spoke to us. We decided to bring it back to life.

We wanted to preserve the authentic character of the Great Hungarian Plain —
the cool touch of thick adobe walls in summer, the scent of wooden beams, the quiet simplicity of rural life.
Throughout the renovation, we approached everything with care, making sure that time itself would not disappear from the walls. The original spaces, the massive walls, the natural materials — the spirit of the past — are still here.
Only now, they meet comfort and contemporary ease.
Over time, life grew around the farm. Indigenous animals, a kitchen garden, a herb garden, and hundreds of fruit trees became part of our everyday rhythm.
Everything here remains human-scale — just as much as can still be nurtured with heart and two hands.

The estate now offers two distinct guesthouses:one in vintage countryside style, the other inspired by the atmosphere of a traditional hunter’s lodge. The summer kitchen — which also serves as an outdoor living room — creates a relaxed gathering area next to our 40 m² heated saltwater pool.
One of the farm’s most special places has become the Wellness House, featuring an outdoor jacuzzi, panoramic sauna, salt and steam cabins, a small fitness and a tranquil relaxation space.
An outdoor grill enhances the shared experience, while pétanque, darts and open-air games bring light-hearted moments to long afternoons.

Across 1.5 hectares, PusztaFarm is devoted to one simple idea:
to allow our guests to surrender to the calm of nature and experience the unique “puszta vibe” —
storybook sunsets, light-pollution-free starry skies, and on clear nights, the Milky Way stretching above as an everyday miracle.
This is not just accommodation.

It is a way of life.

It is a way of life.

Along the way, we — as owners — have discovered what it means to become part of nature’s cycle: to grow much of our own food, to take responsibility for our animals and plants, and most importantly, to leave our children a more conscious, healthier future.
